Here at The White Door we are not your typical recruiters. Our backgrounds range from Development to Networking to Website Usability. To find you the ideal role we believe in an open & honest approach, listen to your needs and find the right job and employer. We offer a fresh approach to recruitment and spend more time and energy with the job seekers we help…

  1. We start with a 30 – 60 minute chat to find out more about you and your needs. We prefer a face-to-face meeting or Skype video chat but we can simply call you if those options are not possible.
  2. We prepare a customised matrix for you to tell your new employer more about your skills and accomplishments that relate to the jobs you are interested in. Most CVs just mention responsibilities but we need to dig deeper. This information makes it easy for the employer to say yes to an interview and also helps your interviews to be more relevant.
  3. We create a new and detailed CV for your job applications by combining your current CV, online profiles, our opinion and the additional information you provided in the matrix.
  4. Then we help with your interviews, job offers, relocation and much more.

We can only assist people who are serious about a new job in Amsterdam and are willing to spend the time and energy to show The White Door and potential employers that they have the motivation, commitment, skills and experience that we all expect.

We are searching for people who…

  • Have personality & passion as well as excellent English communication & people skills.
  • Are quick to learn new skills in their work, discussions, articles, books, blogs, conferences or hobby projects.
  • Have shown they can use their initiative and give that extra effort when required to get things done.
  • Are motivated by challenging problems and achieving results.
  • Already have a University degree and permission to work in The Netherlands (such as an EU passport, Dutch Knowledge Migrant visa or qualify for the Working Holiday program).
    • For some vacancies the employers are willing to organise a Dutch Knowledge Migrant visa for the right person (and their family) however this process involves extra time and costs and in the current economic climate is only an option when the right person cannot be found within the EU.
