• Business Analyst who can extract the real requirements/needs from stakeholders and internal specialists by asking the right questions of the right people in order to put all the pieces together and understand the bigger picture.
• QA Analyst who can see things from the users perspective and can think of all the things that can go wrong, then develop real-world tests to verify all those hard to find bugs and potential problems before they occur.
• Developer who can write code/scripts to test and integrate with other systems and databases.
• Trouble-shooter who can diagnose why an issue happened and how to reproduce it.

You will be responsible for developing and executing test plans for in-house developed software.  Working in the fast changing financial world will require you to maintain a constant balance between pragmatism and a focus on long-term sustainable solutions. You will be working in a demanding environment with plenty of challenges and accompanying rewards.

• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to discuss/translate requirements into tests.
• Develop, maintain and enhance test procedures.
• Create test cases and automate the test procedures.
• Take responsibility for functional, performance, stress, scalability, stability and reliability testing.
• Perform GUI testing (Jemmy) and Java API testing (JUnit)
• Conduct conformance tests with trading partners.
• Report, track, analyse and reproduce bugs.

Your Profile

We are looking for people with…

• 2+ years experience in software testing within a Java environment.
• Experience with test automation.
• Able to write Java/JUnit code and Bash/Perl/Python scripts.
• Experience working with databases, servers and networks.
• Proactive/self driven and capable of prioritizing tasks and projects.
• Analytic problem solver/trouble shooter with a cross functional awareness.
• Innovative, flexible and able to view products from the user’s point of view.
• Quick to learn and adapt.
• Have a great personality and are easy to get along with
• An interest in financial markets and systems.
• Excellent English communication skills – both written and spoken.
• University Degree or relevant IT qualifications.
