Senior Project Manager (AH14627069)

Your Role

The Senior Project Manager’s primary responsibilities in this challenging position concern planning and management and involves driving projects from initiation right through to deployment and handover. You will be expected to be the “Business Project Manager” and “Technical Project Manager” at the same time.

You will be expected to manage multiple projects at the same time with high complexity and dealing with  project teams of up to 25 people. The budgets will range up to several million Euros and will need to be delivered within very challenging timelines.

Projects are managed according to the most suitable project management methodology; from Agile (Scrum) to Waterfall (Prince II). You will act on all levels from directly interacting with Developers, Architects & Testers to senior management.

  • Create and maintain your project management deliverables and translate them into detailed work packages and actions.
  • Plan, track, trace & chase the work packages and associated actions.
  • Document all relevant project information (meeting minutes, decisions, actions, etc).
  • Strive continuously to mitigate risk and meet and preferably reduce the project timelines.
  • Report (planning, scope, financials, escalations, etc.).
  • Ensure the quality assurance & in-depth review of the project deliverables.

Your Profile

  • 5 – 10 years relevant work experience in managing complex multidisciplinary projects.
  • Prince II certified (or willing to become a Prince II Practitioner).
  • Project management tools & methodology experience (Waterfall, Prince II, work breakdown structures, action/issue/risk-logs, Agile/Scrum etc).
  • People management & leadership skills.
  • Great drive & sense of urgency.
  • Independent & proactive.
  • Pragmatic and persuasive with a “hands on” & “gets the job done” mentality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; English is mandatory and Dutch is preferred.
  • University Degree or relevant IT qualifications.
